spring time at the dolls house

The girls decided to decorate their dolls house this-morning with adornments of the easter flavour. It got me thinking that I could make the house a centre piece for the seasons table, we'll just decorate the house according to the season/event/celebration etc.

we love the simple life

a few weeks ago, the sun decided to shine with warmth and optimism, so we decided to take the opportunity to cook outside, and it was glorious. We were given some trout that was caught in the stream at the bottom of the campsite, but being veggie, we didn't eat it. This was however a great learning experience for the girls, they were able to see the fish in it's raw state, and knew how it had been caught and prepared.

Karl whipped up some scrummy sliced pears and apples, and cooked in with brown sugar....ahh salubrious delights.
